A few moments out of my life


I did a park run which is 5K in this heat on Saturday, although it wasn’t too hot so I was fine and managed it. I have signed up to do the colour run a week on Saturday. I’m going to be doing it for Hope for Justice which is an anti -slavery organisation they are amazing. There is some really lovely countryside near me which was so nice to see and I must go for a walk there when I’m not running, probably with someone as it would be a bit secluded. Still there were over 300 people who came on the park run.

SO I am back into the swing of work again, Spain feels like years ago. Even though it was only 2 weeks ago. Thankfully I am still in touch with some of the friends I made, they may become lifelong friends, I do hope so.
It’s been an interesting week so far me and some of the girls from my family went to the Britannia hotel for afternoon tea. It was really lovely and so reasonable, there was hardly anyone there. It is obviously a hidden gem, they even have a restaurant I am going to sample that as well sometime. Perhaps for a date 😉
Last night I was invited to a presentation of an organisation which helps young people who struggle academically. It was awfully posh with wine and canapes I felt very underdressed, it was a bit surreal being there.
Last night together with Monday night at Ignite where we looked at how to reach out to your local community has really got me thinking about the future.

I just got back from Spain last Saturday. Although this feels like a lifetime ago now. I definitely, had the holiday blues when I came back to work on Tuesday as I looked out the window at the pouring rain. Spain is now a week away and I have managed to get into the swing of work.
Spain was amazing, I went with a Christian holiday company called Oak hall, they call it the Oak hall family and it did feel like that.  They really looked after us well. I made a group of friends there very quickly. It helped that I went with a friend from Kings Church. It’s funny how you go on holiday and come back looking for another one. I’m planning on going skiing in February.
We had a great time exploring local towns, climbing a mountain and discovering Barcelona which is a truly beautiful city, I want to go back as soon as I can, considering it for my birthday but we shall see.

This Saturday my family and I will be tasting some British afternoon tea at the Britannia hotel in Manchester, going to see how many we can fit in throughout the summer. There will be more on my holiday soon.....

 Today a bunch of us young adults will be going to Cefn Lea in Wales for something called Immerse, some of us quite loosely can be called young adults as I will be 40 in under two years. Still I am taking this opportunity to stay young and hang out with a gang of great people and see some greenery at the same time. I am grateful for the chance to get into the country for the weekend.
The other day I managed to pop to my parents after work, clean for them ( I am their official cleaner) cook my dinner, used their shower as mine is broken and gave my Dad a lesson in using his kindle. He wanted to find out about the football. Then I went to a VIP meeting, thankfully, I was allowed to leave work early.

Putting roots down in Manchester

If you are reading this you will realise that I haven't written to people for quite a long time instead of writing an email I thought I would update my Blog so you can see what I have been up to!! So about two months ago I finally decided to stay in Manchester. It took a long time to get to the point where I could definitely say that was what God was telling me to do. Time to turn the light on!

Once again as I release this word my hubby is preparing to go to the Netherlands for the second time for his Granny's funeral - God has provided again and continues to do so. Three weeks ago whilst Reggie was away so much happened in that week, we had the interview between Oprah with Megan and Harry, which the whole country has been talking about.  I have to confess that I have not seen it.  As I quite often don't watch such things as I find that they can be very much twisted.  Having heard the media hype and what others have said about it and just by discernment I think there is something that does not quite meet the eye, something sinister behind it.  Oprah is painted as the good Samaritan, a kind of saviour to the disenfranchised royals, but I am not here to talk about this. However, I am here to talk about how things are really not as they seem, that there are many spiritual forces operating behind what we hear and see in the news. Summer Mayhem

I can't believe that the summer is more or less over and that in just over a week I will be jetting off to South America on the other side of the world. For most of the summer I was working in a theatre which was fun at times and it was different to be in a 9-5 job again well not quite I worked in the evenings a lot. I managed to fit 5 years of visits into less than three months.  Thanks to the change over scenes at the theatre I was able to take a few trips in five days I did Taunton, Torquay and Plymouth and saw people I hadn't seen in an age. As I write this I am on my last set of visits to people I haven't seen in perhaps five years. Probably the most memorable event from the summer would be BONES which I didn't think I was going to be as involved in but once I met all the great people who God sent along to be part of the team via in the internet (they found out about bones online.)
