About Me

Manchester, United Kingdom
I am Someone who Loves God with I am a bubbly lively person who loves meeting people and loves God with all their heart and trys to put God first always. Someone who has a calling to work with young people and the arts. I have a heart for urban missionary work I am called to build the kingdom.

Outreach to Europe

Hey folks, I can’t believe it is nearly Christmas the Counseling school I am doing has gone by so fast in just under three weeks we are heading on outreach to start to teach and put into practice what we have learnt. In so many things I feel like I am only just starting to see them incorporated into my life. However I know that God has so much for us during the outreach.
So there is a team from our school along with a team of professionals from the local church going to Haiti and then our team will be going to el Salvador and Guatemala.
However the team that I am going on will be coming to Europe, around the 3rd January we will be coming to England and spending two weeks in London and from there on 15th January we will be flying to Latvia where we will be working in prisons and rehabilitation centres for two weeks, then to Italy where we will be for a month working with the local churches.  There are 5 students in our team who are Me, Jessica (Argentina) Mirtha (Peru) Alejandra (Colombia) and Facundo (Argentina).
What is amazing is that we are all on the worship team here and this was a huge confirmation that God was indeed sending us to Europe.
We have a huge challenge ahead of us as a team each air ticket is around £1500 because of the season we are coming in then another £1500 for internal travel around Europe and accommodation, food etc.
You may know that the exchange rate here is $6.26 Pesos to the £1 so the challenge for my friends here is even greater and some have not finished paying for their schools. However we have been seeing God work in a great way!
My plan is to change the flight that I came here with bring it forward so I can use it now and then buy another return ticket when I come back to Buenos Aires in March.  Most of you will know that I am planning to stay with YWAM for some time here in Argentina. So for me as well I am facing a huge financial challenge.  I am though very grateful to God that I have already paid for the theory part of my school.
My original plan was to use the return ticket I have and bring the date forward to the 1st/2nd January so I can use it for my outreach.  I need to pay a fine and the difference which I am not sure the exact amount but I have been looking at the prices and tickets are around £1500 mark so I might need to pay up to £1000 to change my ticket then I need to see whether it might be better to buy a new ticket all together.
On top of changing my ticket I will also need to buy a ticket to come back here for the final evaluation and graduation. Apart from this I plan to stay here for some time!
Theses are my personal challenges for the outreach and the date is fast approaching of when we need to buy the tickets
As I am planning on staying here for sometime from March onwards I will be here as Staff and since I came to Argentina my support base has decreased significantly. So I am looking to find new partners who want to invest in what we are doing here in Argentina and also how we are influencing other nations with the Kingdom of God.  I need prayer partners to pray specifically  for what is happening here and all we are involved in ( you will be able to find the information on my Blog and I will send more updates  http://angelantics.blogspot.com.
I am also looking for people who want to invest in the work here with £10 or £20 or more per month this will help towards my living costs here etc. I have a stewardship account so if you are from England and pay tax you can commit to be a partner or give a one off donation I can email you the forms.
I have also placed my bank details underneath if you do donate towards the outreach it would be great to drop me an email just so I know what is from whom.
I will keep you up to date with how things are going for this outreach to Europe

Summer Mayhem

I can't believe that the summer is more or less over and that in just over a week I will be jetting off to South America on the other side of the world. For most of the summer I was working in a theatre which was fun at times and it was different to be in a 9-5 job again well not quite I worked in the evenings a lot.

I managed to fit 5 years of visits into less than three months.  Thanks to the change over scenes at the theatre I was able to take a few trips in five days I did Taunton, Torquay and Plymouth and saw people I hadn't seen in an age. As I write this I am on my last set of visits to people I haven't seen in perhaps five years.

Probably the most memorable event from the summer would be BONES which I didn't think I was going to be as involved in but once I met all the great people who God sent along to be part of the team via in the internet (they found out about bones online.) I couldn't not be around. So as I was working full time I would go before work and after work even just being around that many young people and that much life and craziness literally gave me life again I would really look forward to being there. Of course there were ups and downs from time to time but it was great to be part of.
We had many young people from all over the place including Holland, Germany, Switzerland, France, USA to name a few places they got thoroughly involved in the 11 day camp which was aimed to give a short term mission experience to young people in London at the Notting Hill Carnival. So throughout the the time there were talks about character, evangelism and other discipleship topics. Some days the group went to Hyde Park with a Portuguese Kings kids team who joined us some of the time as well.  So off we went with the guys of stilts and the singers from the Portuguese team who through themselves into the evangelism  shouting FREE HUGS which people were blown over many despite thinking what is going on here accepted.

It is true to say that where ever we went even when we weren't in costume stood out well with half our team on Stilts it wasn't surprising. The first day we went out to invite people to the Salsa me and Vanessa had a great conversation with a girl from Australia and a guy from New Zealand they were hippy types so we connected straight away I shared about our community and also that God was waiting for the him when he wanted to return because he told us how he had been involved in some Christian camps when he was younger.  It is funny they way God chases us across the world sometimes isn't it?

Most of our team didn't sleep for two weeks, our boys started Stilt walking as soon as they got off the plane I saw pictures of them doing it at 3am the same day that was quite common to have Stilt walking rehearsals at 3am. Some of the girls even learnt to dance whilst walking on Stilts. Some of the boys were absolute naturals looking like they had been doing it for years and others took a little longer but most of them were on the parade and wandered around during the carnival. So apart from the Stilt walking there was a 15 foot tree with leaves as flags which needed to be made which I had the pleasure to participate in.  I was probably one of the few ones to actually get some sleep during the week not tonnes but some well I had to be fairly function able for working in the theatre. However the night before the carnival after working a 9 hour shift I cam back ate and worked on the tree until 4 or 5am and then I got up 3 hours later for the carnival.
The strength we all found during that week was incredible I would go as far as to say Supernatural, when you think of the supernatural you think of healings well we saw it in our lack of sleep and in the kitchen feeding loads and loads of people over 70 people

Thought of the moment! God speaking out of the box!

So how does God speak to us and how does he intervene into our lives each day.  If we began to see Jesus walking through our days we would realise we have even more to worship him about than we presently do.
I truly believe that we can see Jesus walking through the situations of the day big and small if we fail to do this I believe we miss some key lessons and things he wants to say to us and wants to do in our lives.

If we limit God speaking to our quiet times or to someone giving us a prophecy or a chat with someone with them saying what I am saying is from the Lord.  I believe God speaks outside of this, he speaks outside our box.  Dare I say it but he can speak through non believers.  Throughout the day we probably have many conversations with dozens of people some of them are believers some are not. In these conversations the name of Jesus is probably not even mentioned but even at these times God can be speaking.

What about when you have an argument with someone our tendency is to shift the blame away from ourselves and even try to be in the right.  Throughout all these situations and even conflicts we need to be asking ourselves why did I react the way I did what is in my character that God is wanting to refine here.  Perhaps someone says something to you that hurts again the way we tend to react is with a harsh word back or we stew in our own juices replaying the conversation getting angrier and angrier and becoming judgemental of them.
What if God was speaking through that person even though the words came out in a rather ugly package and their tone of voice might not have been pleasant is it possible that God is using this person to point something out in your life. Perhaps an attitude or a way of thinking that is not helping you.  If we disregard things just because of the way they are said to us then we could miss out in some key times when God is speaking with us.

If we began to look at life differently and rather than just coping with what happens but if we took each situation each conversation each word kind and not to Jesus and said Lord what are you trying to say to me what are you trying to show me, how do you want me to change.
Life would become tastier, vibrant, beautiful, abundant. Our relationship to Jesus would grow deeper our roots would grow deeper we would bare fruit, much fruit.

So next time you encounter situations, conversations throughout the day don't just brush over them but say Here I am Lord now what.........

Some recent stories!!

So as you may have seen in other newsletters or Blogs I am off to Argentina in September to do the counselling school.  People would keep asking me so when are you booking your flight and I would say I don't know I don't have the money and can't see how I am going to get it!! God had already come up with a plan which would completely take me by surprise.
Back at the beginning of the year when I knew I would be heading to Argentina in September I decided to start doing my part which was to bake a few banana cakes and sell them to the DTS Students. I thought well I'm not going to earn huge amounts but I can do my part this was just the beginning..........

As I told people about my future plans they started to give me small amounts of money in pennies for example  although one of those bags of coppers added up to £40 and then another bag amounted to £20.  This was so encouraging and great to know that so many people are with me and so supportive the most amazing bit was yet to come.  A woman heard about what I was doing and decided to hire me to cater for the prayer meetings she was organising in parliament. Most of them were small amounts of people which amounted to perhaps £100 for all of them in total I also got helped by my bezzie mate!!  Then I had to cater for the cakes and biscuits for an event for 400 people I got a little team together and everyone gave their services free and ingredients that one off event resulted in a cheque for £500 totally amazing so that meant I had enough to pay for my flight which too was a mini miracle at £590 as well.
However it doesn't finish there a girl at work heard about what I had been doing and asked if I could cater for lunches for her film crew so, so far we have catered for their film shoots and they still would like to use our services.  I never dreamed that the finances would come in through this route but it just shows that God really does have a sense of humour.

Face painting at community day

I was invited to do some face painting at a community day with a local church not far from where I live!
Painting faces is a little different to painting canvas, I had to remember that at times and not spend all day painting one kid!!

Argentina is Calling you!!

New beginnings at Spring- time

New beginnings at Spring- time

Moving again!!!!   It seems I am always packing my stuff up and moving, during this last period of time I have been in Britain I think I have moved 5 times and this most recent move is my sixth time that is move a year although sometimes they are more frequent.  After living in community and with the DTS for only six months I have moved to my best friends flat so it really is a blessing.  I have my own room again and it is really nice to have a bit more space than usual.  However I won't be here for too long as I am planning to move on yet again but this next one is rather a big one.......

New Adventures    You all know that I love to travel and I love to go on adventures and God is taking me on a big one.  This may seems as something that is coming out of the blue for many of you but I have had many confirmations since I decided.  You may remember that the way I ended up back in Britain was by coming on outreach with the Arts Team.  When I said  to God as I got off the plane I won't mind if you call me back to England this time.  I didn't imagine that he would take me at my word but he did.  I have been here in England now for the last 6 years and I have come to really love my country .  So after 6 years after a lot of praying and thinking I have decided to return but this time to  Puerta Madryn which is in the South with one of the leaders in YWAM Argentina I have admired for a long time called Jorge Rios he has an amazing testimony and is truly inspirational.

SO until then I am working at earning as much money as I can to pay the rent on my new place as well as some of the debts  and of course I need to raise the money for a ticket.  I am also taking the next six months to raise monthly support too.

I have a lot to do over the next six months all the things I thought I had a lot of time to sort out suddenly I only have

Taboo is the new Arts Ministry team we have which is starting to kick off and with the new Basic Leadership School our team is growing already. Our first ventures will be a couple of exhibitions possibly two before I go and then the BONES project which we are turning  up a notch this year.

Wildfire Kings Kids We have been working with some young people up till now from mainly one church although this is not in any way the aims of Wildfire however these young people have been both really encouraging and we also believe in many ways will act like a platform for the rest of the young people who will come afterwards.
We have a number of fund-raising events coming up that the young people came up with.  It is so great that the young people are really hungry for God and are becoming a great part of taking the ministry forward.

New Beginnings So it is a very key and special time that I am leaving and in some ways it doesn't make sense but I have had so many words like a word from the Bible about going back to my homeland and in many ways that is what Argentina has been to me in many ways.  I am leaving at a good time there are many more people on the ways and things are kicking off in a big way.  It does seem the pattern in my life that just when things are beginning to take shape God moves me on perhaps one day I will understand it, all I do know though is that God has an exciting future for me in Argentina what it holds is yet to be seen!!!!!!!!

I will be back from time to time as my family and friends are here in England
I look forward to hearing from you all very soon

I would like to involve you all in this next stage of my life so please can you pray for this next six months that I am able to earn enough money and  finish everything I need to finish.

You can also be part of this adventure in a practical way by being a partner and contributing from £20 a month.

There are other ways too and if you are interested you can get in touch with me direct.

I look forward to seeing or hearing from you
Huge Blessings

Twilight

The other night I did something I would never do I watched Twilight I had been really avoiding it for quite a while.  The truth is I thought it was kind of a horror movie.  It was on in my living room and we were having a girly night in so I decided to stick it out see whether I could stomach it.  I realised that there wasn't going to be any horror that I was extremely relieved.  However the camera work creates a very horror type feeling.  Everything is tinted blue and all the faces are grey like what you get in real horror movies.  The story was quite cripping and I was getting into it.  I started to understand why this phenomena has swept the nation particularly the girls well at least the ones that I have come across.  I could feel myself being drawn into the film what was so enticing.  I woke up the next morning feeling traumatized and quite empty and I asked what was going on why had this movie got under my skin.  I was asking God about it as you do, I was annoyed with myself that I too had been sucked in.....  Then it struck me the phrase that the pastor has been saying to us for quite a while came to me "HEAVEN IS SO REAL
I have been asking myself and well that morning why the big deal over this Movie and I realised that the essence of this film is intimacy and the supernatural.  The truth is that eternity is in the heart of every person because we were created to live forever not necessarily in the form we are in today, we were also created for the supernatural those of us who know Jesus the king of heaven have a different citizenship.  Everyone else has this deep desire in their heart to be part of the heavenly sphere even if they don't realise it.
