Moments from my life

Not seen much of my flat recently, been out quite a lot, which is not unusual. I do love living on my own though, it’s great to come back to there at the end of the day. My flat is really lovely and cosy, it’s great to be able to have people round and to be able to cook. I know that these seem like normal things but I’ve not been in this position before.
On Saturday we had a picnic in our local country park; Clifton Country Park it was really. Sadly I had issues with my back that day but I got to talk to a very interesting lady who has just come to the church. Then afterwards we had a 30th birthday party at jump nation which is a trampoline park. She said that she wanted to bounce into her 30’s, it was exhausting I was tried after 20 minutes. Finally my second birthday was much more civilised we went to dimities and then cloud 23 where the views are absolutely amazing. The weekend was rounded off by leading worship at Salford. This weekend is going to be a lot quieter.

Once again as I release this word my hubby is preparing to go to the Netherlands for the second time for his Granny's funeral - God has provided again and continues to do so. Three weeks ago whilst Reggie was away so much happened in that week, we had the interview between Oprah with Megan and Harry, which the whole country has been talking about.  I have to confess that I have not seen it.  As I quite often don't watch such things as I find that they can be very much twisted.  Having heard the media hype and what others have said about it and just by discernment I think there is something that does not quite meet the eye, something sinister behind it.  Oprah is painted as the good Samaritan, a kind of saviour to the disenfranchised royals, but I am not here to talk about this. Manchester!!!!

So here I am in my home town Manchester and actually enjoying being here for a change!  I have now been here for a month and the last month has gone quite quickly even though I haven't actually been doing much.  Mainly due to the fact that I have been on stand by waiting to see if I would be going to Latvia and Italy or not.  However in the end nor my other team member or my leader from Zambia were able to get their visas.  So I am still here and it doesn't look like I will be going anywhere any time soon.  I think what makes me so content to be here and so relaxed is the fact that I know without a shadow of a doubt God was the one who got me here.  It wasn't a mistake.   In the last month I have been able to spend some long awaited time with my family and had some great conversations with them. I have also been able to reconnect on a deeper level with a church I have been going to on and off when ever I have been in town.  It is amazing the way God answers all our prayers.
